The nation of Myanmar is located in South East Asia and surrounded with India in the west, China in the North, Laos in the North East, and Thailand and Malaysia in the East. It is a Buddhist country and only 6% are Christians. The country has 60 million population and 70% of the population are living in the villages. The nation is divided into seven divisions and seven states. 135 ethnics groups are living in this small country.  Actually, the country is very rich in natural resources and beautiful in cultures. The country was one of the wealthiest in Asian countries and was known as the tiger of Asia because the best gold, the biggest diamond, the biggest pearl, the best wood in the world, and a lot of gas, oils, rice and so many other things are found in Myanmar in the 50s.

But now, unfortunately, the country became the poorest, most undeveloped and uncivilized country in the world because the country has been under the brutal military coup for nearly 60 years. The military junta has illegally seized power from the civilian for three times as of now. The first time was in 1962 by General Ney Win, the second time was in 1988 by General Than Shwe and the third time is in 2021 by General Mim Aung Hlaing.

The main reason for illegally seizing the power by military coup on 1 February 2021, was that the National League for Democracy (NLD), which is leaded by Daw Aung San Suu Kyi landslide won in November 2020 election. And related to this election, they said that the election was with marred fraud but not having any reliable and sufficient evidences. So, they declared a year-long state of emergency and also demanded and claimed a re-election.

As soon as the Army took over the power illegally in Myanmar, the civilians from all villages, towns, states and regions marched out for protest against the military coup. This revolution is called “Civil Disobedience Movement” (CDM) that all the government offices are being closed down. The protest is also done by various ways which never happened before in Myanmar, such as night strike, silent strike, dawn strike, car horn strike, bike strike, non-people strike, bang pots and pan strike at 8pm every day, lifting up three fingers strike and etc. It is said that this Mass protests in Myanmar have been the largest ever.
